83 thousand 636 houses were sold in Turkey in June

Housing sales throughout Turkey decreased by 44.4% in June compared to the same month of the previous year and became 83 thousand 636. Istanbul had the highest share in house sales with 13 thousand 578 houses and 16.2%. According to the number of sales, Istanbul was followed by Ankara with 7 thousand 325 house sales and 8.8% share, and Antalya with 4 thousand 503 house sales and 5.4% share. The provinces with the lowest number of house sales were Ardahan with 17 houses, Hakkari with 29 houses, and Tunceli with 44 houses, respectively.

Housing sales decreased by 22.1% in the January-June period compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to 565 thousand 779.
As a result of other sales types, 70 thousand 173 houses changed hands.

Other house sales in Turkey decreased by 36.1% in June compared to the same month of the previous year and became 70 thousand 173. The share of other sales in total house sales was 83.9%. Other house sales realized in the January-June period, on the other hand, decreased by 20.1% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 444 thousand 249.
Number of first-hand housing sales was 25 thousand 886

Number of first-hand housing sales in Turkey decreased by 42.1% in June compared to the same month of the previous year and became 25 thousand 886. The share of first hand house sales in total house sales was 31.0%. In the January-June period, first-hand house sales decreased by 17.9% compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to 171 thousand 158.

57 thousand 750 houses changed hands in second hand house sales

Second hand house sales in Turkey decreased by 45.4% in June compared to the same month of the previous year and became 57 thousand 750. The share of second hand house sales in total house sales was 69.0%. Second-hand house sales, on the other hand, decreased by 23.8% in the January-June period compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to 394 thousand 621.
2 thousand 625 houses were sold to foreigners in June

House sales to foreigners decreased by 69.6% in June compared to the same month of the previous year and became 2 thousand 625. In June, the share of house sales to foreigners in total house sales was 3.1%.

Antalya took the first place in house sales to foreigners with the sales of one thousand 4 houses. Antalya was followed by Istanbul with 760 house sales and Mersin with 223 house sales, respectively.Housing sales to foreigners decreased by 45.5% in the January-June period compared to the same period of the previous year and became 19,275.

According to the nationality of the country, the most house sales were made to the citizens of the Russian Federation.

In June, the citizens of the Russian Federation bought 733 houses from Turkey. Citizens of the Russian Federation were followed by Iran with 333 residences, Iraq with 175 residences and Ukraine with 168 residences.
