Population:

According to the Turkish Statistics and Census Authority, the population of Turkey rose to 1,65,911 people in 2021, bringing the country's total population close to 85 million by the end of the year.

 

The number of tourists:

At the time, the increase in global tourism for the year 2021 was only 4% from its predecessor, which is an improvement that is not considered significant and does not come close to the profits of tourism around the world before Corona.

Turkey achieved a much better level of improvement, as it achieved in 2021 a growth rate of 85.5% in the number of tourists compared to 2020, and a growth in tourism revenues by 103%, equivalent to 24.5 billion dollars, compared to 12.1 billion in the previous year.

Istanbul alone received 9 million and 25 thousand tourists last year, and the total number of visitors in Turkey reached nearly 30 million for the same year.

 

Foreign Trade Figures:

Last December, Turkey's exports increased by 24.9% compared to the same month last year 2020, and its revenues amounted to 22 billion and 278 million dollars.

The percentage of exports to the European Union, in particular, increased by 23.3% over the same month last year, at an average of $8.9 billion.

Germany is the first country to export to Turkey, followed by the United States of America in second place, and Britain in third place.

Real estate sales:

Turkey ranked first in real estate sales across the European continent in 2021, with an average of 1.5 million real estate sales.

Istanbul leads in real estate sales among the Turkish states with 18.5% of the total sales.

 

The number of properties sold to foreigners:

The number of properties sold to foreigners last year reached 68,600, according to the Land Registry and Land Survey Authority.

At the forefront of these nationalities are citizens of Iraq and Iran, followed by Russia, Britain, Germany, and Afghanistan.
